Super rare and chic Cadenas model watch made by Van Cleef and Arpels in 1972 with leather and burled wood. Created in 1935, the Cadenas model features an angled dial that enables discreet time viewing and a seamless line of bracelet and case. Van Cleef and Arpels did several iterations of this eye-catching design; this combination of materials is exceptional. 42.03 grams, eighteen-carat gold, automatic movement, 41mm X 26mm. Georges L’Enfant created designs for the hautest of haute jewelry houses; Van Cleef and Hermes among them. This “Tresse” or textured chain design is most sought after and collectible as it is no longer made and is sported on the chic-est of wrists. This watch, from the 1950s and made by Hermes, Paris, is in working order, is 74.47 grams which is easy to wear. Eight textured links measure just over seven inches for a snug and safe fit.
