Furmanovich Papyrus Thera Earrings
A design from the papyrus frescos from the Room of the Ladies at Akrotiri, Thera in Greece. Cycladic artists may have borrowed iconography here from Egypt or Minoan Crete. The original art dates from 17th century BCE and may be viewed at the Museum of Prehistoric Thera in Santorini. A nod to the past with a very modern design.

Silvia Furmanovich finds inspiration from her own life story. As a child, Silvia observed her father, renowned goldsmith Salvador Longobardi, work in the atelier that was installed in their home. Today, each Silvia Furmanovich collection is designed in her personal atelier and created through exceptional goldsmithing practices that are closely accompanied by the designer. Silvia’s design aesthetic is informed by ancestral techniques and contemporary inspirations–striking a perfect balance between tradition and innovation.
