van cleef and arpels “chinois” pins

A wonderful example of exoticism that was integrated into the Van Cleef repertoire, these whimsical “chinois” VCA pins (sold as a group of three) are from the 1950s. Signed Van Cleef and Arpels France, they represent a growing international clientele for Van Cleef as well as increased international travel after the war. The “en tremblant” hair on each is 18k gold and accents are emeralds, sapphires and diamonds. Fun, collectible Van Cleef. Each pin is 2 inches long and one wide.
